Upon realizing that this year is coming to a close (very shortly in fact), my year end list of best albums has yet to be made public. For me, its been a year of metal dominance in the top 5, followed by powerful women and some pop tunes. A new passion of mine this year, was scouring Spotify to find female metal groups which led me to many a nights looking at small labels and listening to bandcamps. Ragana's You Take Nothing is a ominous, dark, and powerful statement which can be taken as an independent cry from the struggle of this year. Well done.
